The Blogger Bootcamp: My Review

When I signed up for Blogger Bootcamp, it had been 6 months since I launched. I thought I was building a quality site and sharing posts that would interest my audience but honestly I was struggling to build traffic. When I spoke to those who were going to my site, the feedback was that I could use some work on my posts so they were more focused and aligned with the goal of my blog (aka niche). So, I did a search to see if there were courses I could take to help me get better so I can build this dream I have. Thankfully I found Christina Galbato’s Blogger Bootcamp.

I will admit, I was a bit nervous about signing up, primarily due to the cost (currently priced at $697), but after watching some testimonials from existing students, I was committed. Honestly, what got me over the nerves of purchasing was that I have lifetime access to the course and I can take the class at my own pace which is important to me since I work full-time and it is hard to take a class when I’m working 50-70 hours a week.

What I Learned

The Blogger Bootcamp is full of valuable information but what I learned was my blog and email list are more sustainable to building a business than social media alone. By having a blog, I have more control and it is accessible to everyone, unlike social media which requires someone to have an account and is managed by algorithms, bots, etc. Which is something I didn’t consider when I decided to launch my dream of being an influencer.

Mind Blowing Lessons

Although I learned a lot in the 7 module course, the two lessons that blew my mind were:

  • The importance of Pinterest to help grow my blog.
  • How to use Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

Both of these lessons were incredibly informative and something I had no idea were so important to building my blog. Honestly, I don’t fully know how to use either one but I am learning. Which is why I’m thrilled Blogger Bootcamp is available to me for a lifetime. I go back and re-watch the lessons over and over again until I GET IT.

A few tools I have implemented into my blog right away, is using an outline to draft my blog posts. This helps me to organize my thoughts so they are reader friendly. I have transitioned to here, my new site to WordPress because of the tools available to make my site more viewer friendly and help me with SEO. Unfortunately, my previous site on Squarespace did not provide much outside of the basics.

Conclusion

I’m super excited that after taking the course I have grown my blog traffic 65% in the first three months since implementing the strategies from the Blogger Bootcamp. I’m excited to see how I will continue to grow my blog month after month. I also love the feedback I am getting from readers. If you are launching a blog or even thinking about it, please listen to me, don’t hesitate… Just click the link and sign up. You won’t regret it.

Now, if you are like me and launched your blog already, it is not too late to take the course and implement the lessons you learn. It will only help you! It was the best money I have ever spent!

Until next time, have a joy filled day!
