YAY! It is finally live! My new website, has been a small labor of love. It has taken me since November 2023 to finalize the design and transition my posts from my old site. It also took me a lot of time to learn how to use the program that hosts Now that it is here, I hope you love it as much as I do.

I am sure you are wondering, why make the change? Well, I have the Blogger Bootcamp to thank. When I started the course, my blog was already live on Squarespace, but what I learned in the Blogger Bootcamp is that WordPress was a better hosting platform. Since blogging is something I do in my spare time, I needed to find a way to make this seamless for me while simultaneously growing my audience. WordPress provides plugins to help with writing posts, SEO (search engine optimization), adding my Instagram feed and so much more that Squarespace does not.

Goals of my New Site

I have several goals for my new site.

  1. Positive user experience. I really want anyone to come to the site to stay around for a while and be able to navigate to different pages that interest them easily.
  2. Grow my audience. Something I didn’t think about when I launched 2-years ago is the importance of SEO. So, I am really utilizing the plugins available to write my posts focusing on readability and search capabilities.
  3. Expand my brand. While I was working on my blog, I started to realize that I didn’t want to just blog. I wanted to build my brand which includes being a successful Executive Assistant. So, I wanted to have a website that wasn’t just for blogging but also something to promote my future online course.

To help me accomplish my goals, I worked with a Web Designer at Hello You Designs. It was worth the investment of $1500. Not only is my site beautiful and fitting my personality, it was seamless to work with the designer to get it exactly how I wanted. In addition, I am finding it super easy to make changes. Unless you are really savvy with web design, I highly recommend going this route. Now I can  focus on producing content.

Now that I have launched, it is amazing how rejuvenated I am to produce content and devote time working on it. I hope you take some time navigating through the pages and provide me with your thoughts in the comments below.

Until next time, have a joy filled day.
